Appointments

To book an appointment with a Careers Consultant, please call us on 024 7765 2011 or come into the Careers & Employability office, first floor, The Hub.

Do I need to prepare anything in advance or bring anything with me?

To make the most out of your appointment please prepare thoroughly in advance.

The Careers Consultant will ask you at the beginning what you want to get from the discussion, and it is a chance for you to talk about the things which are important to you.

• Think carefully about what you want to get from your meeting
• Prepare some questions and write them down
• If you have come for a CV or application form check, please remember to bring the documents with you in printed form. Please also bring any relevant information from the company such as job descriptions and person specifications.

Also – have you heard about your Faculty Placements Unit? Each Faculty has a specialised placement unit intended to help support you in gaining undergraduate work experience. Information about the placement units, as well as the Central Careers Service can be found on the student portal (shown below).
